It’s February (in 2 days)!!! That means we get to celebrate everything pink...yay! Pink is my favorite color and there are lots of wonderful foods that are pink… well they are really red but let’s just pretend they are pink 😉 Red foods have many key vitamins and nutrients including lycopene, ellagic acid, quercetin, hesperidin, fiber, vitamin A + vitamin C. Do you know what many of these nutrients have in common!? So what red fruits and vegetables are you going to be eating this February to keep your body happy and healthy?? Continue Reading
Winter is the most WONDERFUL time of the year because of the snow… obviously!!! In Vancouver that may be a little different but in the rest of Canada there is snow and cold temperatures! The winter is amazing because you get to enjoy so many outdoor activities, some of my favs are snowboarding, snowshoeing + skating! Furry little friends tend to like snowy activities as much as I do. This winter was Zeus’ first time seeing snow and we weren’t sure what to expect but boy oh boy does he LOVE the snow so much! We took him to the ski hill and to all the local trails to go on winter hikes and snowshoes with us. It was important to us to make sure that his paws were protected while hanging out in the snow. In this post, I want to give you a few quick and easy ways to help protect your pup this winter season! Continue Reading
Italy is probably one of the most AMAZING places I have been able to travel! The whole trip just seems like a dream and I am beyond grateful that I was able to spend time there with the person I love most, Morgan. The lifestyle is so relaxed the food is so delicious (and perfect for people that can’t normally have gluten and dairy… it’s just different in Italy!). This was my first trip to Europe and boy oh boy did it require a lot of planning and researching, which took up a lot of time and took away from us enjoying the Italian culture to its fullest extent! Don’t get me wrong… we still had an amazing time but spending an hour each day finding all the places we want to go is a long time!!!. We tried to book all our accommodations and trains before we left but finding all the places to eat + explore takes lots of time. So let me help you plan your dream vacation to ITALY🇮🇹
After learning about all the toxic chemicals that are found in the beauty products we apply to our bodies every single day, I knew it was time to make a change! There are so many additives in these products and they are very harmful to the body and our overall health. If you want to learn more about some of the key players check out my post about the toxic twelve! After realizing how much crap is in several beauty products I decided from now on homemade was the only way to go!!! This simple recipe uses soothing rose water and is so much more satisfying when you can create your own cleaning products.
